Prisoners-

Why was America not permitted to see photos of the atrocities at 9-11 yet we see those terrible acts imposed upon Iraqi prisoners? You ask if we are more perturbed over 9-11 or the current abuses of Iraqi prisoners. The public did not see photos of the hundreds who jumped from twin towers or the shattered corpses with shin bones protruding from their necks. TV cameras moved away from windows where people at upper floors were leaning out and their fall would occur, some. we are told, with clothes ablaze. We did hear that Afghans and others then danced in the streets of Baghdad and in New York. We never heard of anyone stopping their glee in New York. Nobody expected apologies and the Congress and people backed when President Bush who said America will bring retribution to attackers.

Why were photos of our suffering victims not allowed in the press? We saw a smiling photo of the man who said "Let's roll!" and diverted the suicide plane from the Whitehouse. We did not see his corpse.

Americans are responding to what is revealed to them. The apologies must be, and in the Lord's name, but our nation will go down if we cannot have balanced reporting.

Pray for your ability to provide balance!

Russian President Putin Takes Bush's Side Against Democrats on Iraq!

SEA ISLAND, Ga (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin (news - web sites) stepped into the U.S. political campaign on Thursday, saying the Democrats had "no moral right" to criticize President Bush (news - web sites) over Iraq (news - web sites).

The Kremlin leader, answering a reporter's question in Sea Island, Georgia, suggested that the Democrats were two-faced in criticizing Bush on Iraq since it had been the Clinton administration that authorized the 1999 bombing of Yugoslavia by U.S. and NATO (news - web sites) forces.

He went on: "I am deeply convinced that President Bush's political adversaries have no moral right to attack him over Iraq because they did exactly the same.

"It suffices to recall Yugoslavia. Now look at them. They don't like what President Bush is doing in Iraq."

Russia was adamantly opposed to the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, as it has been to the U.S.-led military operation Iraq to topple Saddam Hussein (news - web sites).

At the same time, Putin forged a strong friendship with Bush by offering immediate support in the global fight against terrorism. Both men go out of their way now to avoid criticizing each other publicly.

New definition for Liberal/Democrat: Super Hypocrite (If there were an Olympic competition for hypocrisy, they would win gold, silver, and bronze)

Examples:

They wanted to impeach Nixon, and sent Charles Colson to prison, for having ONE FBI file on an enemy, and plastered this all over the front page of newspapers. Clinton has over 900 files, but it is "just a mistake" and makes the last pages of the newspapers.

They fined Gingrich $300,000 for an "ethics violation," while Clinton violates almost every ethics available and is not even reprimanded. They fined Gingrich $300,000 for an "ethics violation," while Democrats who tap his telephone, record the conversation, and release it to the press (acts that were made felonies by the Democratic congress).

They complain about the GOP having a "Good Old Boys" network, but defend Clinton who fires the White House travel office personnel and replace them with his friends. Complaining about Nixon using the government to "get" his enemies, while ignoring the Clinton "Body Count."

They accuse the GOP of misusing "soft money," (which is not illegal), while they take illegal money during the election, and then "give it back" afterwards with no penalties. Argues that they "did nothing illegal," but "had to" take illegal money orelse they could not "defeat the Republicans" during the election (as if that justifies everything they did), then give it back and say that everything is OK now.

Argue for "Free Speech" while severely criticizing Reagan and Bush, but then claim that to "criticize the President is essentially Treason" when Clinton is in office.

Try to blame Reagan for the deficit, when every budget he proposed was pronounced "Dead on Arrival" when it came to a Democratically controlled Congress. Try to blame Reagan for the deficit, while the Democratically controlled Congress would never cut spending as Reagan asked them to do. Try to blame Reagan for the Savings and Loan "Crisis," when the Democratic Congress passed laws to encourage investments in real estate, and then changed the laws a few years later, making all those investments bad.

Fighting the appointment of Clarence Thomas for Justice due to a charge of sexual harassment, denying an appointment to the Joint Chiefs of Staff to an officer who committed adultery 10 years before, and destroying the careers of Navy fliers for the "Tailhook Scandal" (and other incidents) because these men did not have the ethics to be in such offices, yet when Clinton is concerned, claim "Character does not matter."

Claim that Clinton was responsible for the first balanced budget, when Clinton did nothing to balance the budget during the time the Democrats controlled the Congress, and claimed that GOP calls for a balanced budget before the year 2010 and a balanced budget amendment were "irresponsible." Disparage the GOP "Contract with America" and then steal all the ideas and claim them as their own.

Set up a "Mediscare" crisis to defeat the GOP, and then claim it is a crisis and they have to do something drastic. Claim that the "era of Big Government is over" and then try to take over the entire health industry.

Arguing for "Campaign Reform, while the Democratic Party commits fraud to win elections in Orange County and in Louisiana, and not be punished. Argue for patriotism, while Clinton illegally accepts money from China. Argues for "Justice", yet cannot find John Huang to be question or try him.

Demands that "Right Wing Militias" be tried, while protecting an FBI officer who is wanted for trial in Idaho. Attacks the Branch Davidians in Waco to "protect the children from child abuse" (which is not a Federal crime anyway, and was dismissed by the Texas state), and burns them to death (please save us from being "protected" by the Clinton administration).

The Democratic Congress passing many laws to control the businesses and people of this country, such as Civil Rights laws, yet excusing Congress from having to comply with those laws. Apply laws only to Republicans, while excusing any Democrats.

Raise taxes so people have to work half the year to pay them and many have to get two jobs, and then complain that there is not enough volunteering. Taking people's money by force to give to "the poor," and then claiming to be "compassionate and generous" as long as it is not their own money they are spending. Calling the GOP and taxpayers "greedy and uncompassionate" when they complain that taxes are too high.

Claiming that "America is too racist" and that this should be a "color-blind" society, and then supporting Affirmative Action to give preferences to certain races.

Defending the First Amendment rights of free speech and no government support of religion, yet denying the same amendment when it says that the government shall not interfere with religion.

Complaining about the GOP being supported by tobacco money, and Al Gore talking about how his sister died from lung cancer caused by the tobacco companies, when his money came from growing tobacco and selling it to those tobacco companies. Also, the Democrats took plenty of tobacco money when they had the majority.

Claiming to be the "pro-Choice" party, while most of their legislation is anti-choice. This deserves a complete list of its own, including such items as the following: Opposing giving money to the States so they can choose how to spend it, but insist that it be directed from Washington. Forcing States to pass 55 MPH speed limits, or they will take away their highway money. Forcing States to pass 0.8 alcohol blood limits, or they will take away their highway money. Requiring motorcycle riders to wear helmets and people in cars to wear seat belts and pay for airbags, whether they agree with them or not. Opposing the right of the people to "keep and bear arms," in spite of it being in the Bill of Rights.

Taking money to support art most people would not choose to support. When the people of California voted to end Affirmative Action, going to the courts to force it on them anyway. Opposing "Right to Work" laws that allow people to choose if they want to be in a union. Opposing school voucher systems that would allow parents to choose schools for children. Opposing elimination of affirmative action although most of the country chooses to end it

Opposing children choosing to have prayer in schools, but forcing them to accept passing out of condoms and "sexual education." Forcing recycling even if people do not want to do it. Raising taxes on people to support Liberal/Democratic ideas, regardless of whether those taxpayers agree with the ideas or not.

Thinking that the government has more right to people's money than the people who earned it, and deciding how much to "allow" the taxpayers to keep.

Hypocrisy

Anita Hill thinks we should look at Bill Clinton's stand on women's rights and the policies his administration has championed before we judge him. Apparently you are allowed to sexually assult women so long as you support women's rights. Using her logic, everyone in favor of gun control should not be tried for murder if they kill someone with a gun. What a hypocrisy. The other hypocrisy came in Sundays New York

Times when a feminist writer said it was OK for Slick to fondle Ms. Willy since he stopped when she said no. Let's see how far New Gingrich would get with Hillary if he went up to her fondled her boobs, kissed her and put her hand on his wang. It wouldn't stop at a polite no thank you. I am sure it would be a different story. What Hypocrisy.

PROBLEMS WITH DEMOCRATIC HYPOCRISY

Several criticisms of your Rush Limbaugh 'Democratic Hypocrisy' page:

1. The movement to impeach Nixon was, first and foremost, a result of his apparent role in conspiring to cover-up a crime. His having FBI enemy files was incidental to his probable impeachment. Put another way, had Nixon been presumed guilty of nothing more than maintaining enemy files, there never would have been the full-scale Presidential crisis we did have.

2. You say "they" fined Gingrich $300,000. It was the Republican-controlled Congress that levied this sanction.

3. Of course Clinton placed his colleagues in the Travel Office and complains about Republican use of soft money, and of course this is hypocritical. I hope you are not seriously implying that elected Republicans do not bring in their own staff, or that Republicans do not press every legal (and occasionally illegal) advantage in fund-raising. May unthinkingly partisan Republicans and Democrats join in each other in eternal damnation for their mutual hypocrisy on such issues.

4. I have never heard any administration official describe criticizing the President as "treason," and I'll bet you haven't either. Are you referring to his legal defense that certain legal immunities pertain to a sitting President and working Administration? If so, you need to be much more careful about applying the vary narrow (his right to present a vigorous legal defense against specific legal actions against him) to the very broad ("criticism").

5. Both parties are egregiously guilty of presenting budgets for ever-increasing federal spending, and of trying to pass off actual dollar increases as spending reductions. The historical truth is that federal spending marches steadily upward, whether Republicans or Democrats are in control. Balanced budgets result only from revenue increases associated with growth in our overall economy. Who balanced the current budget? Alan Greenspan, mostly, by creating our low-inflation, moderate growth climate. And, by the way, don't forget that the budget isn't really balanced anyway: more phoney accounting from Washington.

6. In regard to the sexual harassment issue, again, of course the Democrats are hypocritical. So are Republicans. Republicans, who so rightly attack Clinton's moral lapses, should examine the hypocrisy of supporting Clarence Thomas. Values matter. Wrong is wrong. Neither Clinton nor Thomas is worthy of our moral approval. In supporting Clarence Thomas, Republicans reveal their own hypocrisy and thereby erode their credibility on the character issue.

7. You criticize 'the Democratic Congress' for failing to abide the same (onerous) regulations they impose on the private sector. Surely you are aware that Congress is controlled by Republicans, not Democrats?!!

I could continue on like this through the rest of your paragraphs, but I am out of time. I hope you have found these comments thought-provoking.

The BIG Difference

A Republican and a Democrat were walking down the road one day and came upon a beautiful estate. The Democrat said, "No man should live like that" and began contriving ways to tax the rich man's wealth. The Republican said, "Everyone should live like that" and began thinking of ways to reduce everyone's taxes.

Subj: Democratic hyprocisy

After the tobacco deal collapsed, President Clinton said that they were going to do polls to see which brands of cigarettes kids smoke, because " . . .parents have a right to know." This, from the President who thinks parents DON'T have the right to know if their 14 year old daughter is going to have an abortion!

Democratic Hypocrisy agreeing with T. Perkins

My experience with liberal Democrats is that, as T. Perkins says, their AGENDA is of PRIMARY importance to them. The majority of liberal Democrats are like Bill and Hillary; they believe that only they know what is best for the "masses." They talk constantly about the children, the elderly, and the poor, but they want to keep the children on welfare, and in a crumbling and malfunctioning educational system. This is the very epitome of hypocrisy!! They speak loud and long about how much they care about "the children"; yet virtually force "the children" to attend inner-city schools and graduate from high school with a diploma they can scarcely read, if that! Is this true caring? Is this true compassion? No! It's more hypocrisy. Another example: Insisting that Congress add to the Balanced Budget Amendment (which Bill Clinton signed into law) a clause that makes it impossible for senior citizens to freely choose their medical doctor. As a result, It is now illegal for senior citizens to have medical treatment and pay for it with their own money. The doctor who provides the service can be fined and sanctioned, as can the senior citizen. Does this show compassion for the elderly? No! No! No!---It is simply more hypocrisy!!!

And still more hypocrisy: Members of the Progressive Caucus, Maxine Waters, Charlie Rangle, Barney Frank, Shelia Jackson-Lee, Billy Scott, John Conyers (these are not all the members of Congress who belong) work for the Democratic Socialist Cause, with the AGENDA of making the United States a Socialist country while using our Constitution to allow them the freedom to work toward reaching their goal. Their agenda is to make the federal government larger and larger, thus making the citizens more and more dependent on the government for their survival. All of these people apparently consider themselves to be among the potential ruling elete of a soon-to-be (they hope) Socialist America!!! Could there be more flagrant hypocrisy??? They spin and spin for Clinton; they lie, rationalize, emotionalize, demonize, vilify, justify, and qualify!! It does not matter what they do or say because THE END JUSTIFIES THE MEANS. . They are active SOCIALISTS disguised as Democrats, and that is THE GREATEST HYPOCRISY OF ALL!

Hypocrisy-

I firmly believe that we as parents should have the choice where WE send our children for their education. I have 2 young children, and while neither are old enough for school, I want the right to send them where they will recieve the best education. Further more I believe that if I chose to send them to a private school my tax dollars should go with them. I do not want my children in a class room where the teacher has no control over the students, where some children can be disruptive, where they have to pass through a metal detector for their protection or where the teachers pass them because of athletic ability or a ratio that must be met. I want my children to know how to read, write,  do math and understand what they have read.

I am more than willing to help them with projects and homework, but they should be able to have a productive time in the class room where they are taught the building blocks of education.

As for the Womans right to chose. I do not believe that abortion is the answer to unwanted pregnancy. However, as a woman, I believe that it is her right to chose. I would hope and pray that her choice includes the fathers view as well. There are many couples who are looking for children to adopt. My belief is that  ALL the options should by given and that the decision should be made with that knowledge. In cases of a minors, parents should have the right to know. After all if we are going to hold parents responsible for their childrens actions that are dangerous to the society as a  whole, shouldn't parents also be informed regarding abortion.

The problems we face today are not that different than they were a few years back. They are just more publicized and more wide spread. We have grown into a society that discusses every thing. And while I think discussion is wonderful, we should teach our children to take responsibility for their actions and not blame everybody else. We can do this by taken responsibilty for our actions, learning from our mistakes and makeing the efforts not to repeat those mistakes. Our parents worried about the music we listened to, the people we associated with, the places we went and the things we did; and we will worry about our children. That is why family values, morals, integrity, and character are so important. While parents have the  responsibility to teach these basic princeples our children have a lot of role models - athlets, teachers, pastors and clergy, scout leaders, coaches and YES EVEN politicians. There is the letter of the law  that applies to every one. It is unjust when individuals are excused because of their"; position in life be it athlet, police chief, military officer or president.

When President Clinton says that the American people want him to get back to the business of running America. Wasn't that what he was suppose to be doing instead of having sex with Monica?

Joseph

* * *

It's not sex, it's disrespect

This whole debacle concerning Clinton and Monica has nothing to do with sex. If it doesn't bother Hillary, why should we care. What does matter is where he chose to have sex.

The people of America own the White House offices. I agree that where he lives is off limits, but his offices are public. He showed he total disrespect for the American people by having his "inappropriate" relation with Monica in OUR office.

HE has NO conscience, no morals, etc. and Hillary has only an agenda. The feminist movement is a joke. They also have an agenda and Monica and her misuse by Clinton is not a part of their agenda.

HE NEEDS TO GO. I'VE NEVER BEEN POLLED BUT I WANT HIM AND HER OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE. LET HIM CONDUCT HIS BUSINESS FROM MOTEL 6.

THANKS

Economics

I wonder what would happen if someone pointed out a simple fact I shall call "Liberal Hypocrisy." I have read both of your books, and the idea of many Americans living their personal lives based upon conservative principles while they may vote liberal intrigued me. I tested the concept on my wife, who happens to vote liberal.

When I frame my inquisitions in such a way that they are at the personal or family level, she always agrees with conservative principles. However, the moment I try to illustrate the same point at a social level, even using the same terms, she instantly reverts to liberal ideas. The thought occurred to me today that this is the very essence of hypocrisy, hence the term "Liberal Hypocrite." Believe me, I would never suggest to my wife that she is in any way a hypocrite. I thought that you could have some fun with this term.

JC Watts & Jesse

This past Sunday, October 17, 1999 on "Both Sides" with Jesse Jackson, Jesse Jackson asked Rep. JC Watts what he thought about George W. Bush not asking Pat Buchanan to leave the GOP after Buchanan's comments on WWII and Hitler. JC responded by suggesting that both political parties have factions within them with stark differences of opinions on a variety of issues. JC then cited that Democrats did not ask proud Segregationist George Wallace to leave the Democratic party in 1968, nor did they repudiate Senator Robert Byrd of WVA for his admitted past affiliation as a Klu Klux Klansman.

To wit, Jesse actually attacked JC and suggested that he (JC) was trying to impugn the integrity of Senator Byrd. The truth will set you free Jesse. Can you believe the hyporcray of the Reverand Doctor Jesse Jackson? Do you honestly think that if one of our Republican Senators was a former Klansman, that Mfume, Jackson, Clinton and Co. would rest until that Senator was driven from public life forever?! I think not! For example, remember when Trent Lott and Bob Barr were attacked by the NAACP, Jesse Jackson and others for simply attending a conservative white organization that was alleged to have supremacists ties?

The black Democrats never cease to amaze me! As a black conservative, I find Jesse Jackon's hypocritical rhetoric beyond offensive. I hope that you will get a copy of that transcript and air it on fox and discuss the hyprocricy of the democratic party for always trying to play racial politics. Jesse was clearly annoyed that JC got the best of him on all of the issues. JC was articulate, informed, and ready for battle. The GOP needs more articulate, attractive African American Conservative Members ofCongress like JC to back down the Jesse Jackson's of the world.

Sincerely,
Sophia of Lindenwold, New Jersey

The Democrats do not get it, they are the party of "Keep em' down "

dale.ginter@eds.com

When it comes to working with the Races, the Democrats hold on to the old Liberal approaches of Doleing out 'Programs and Policies" to Blacks. To the Gore Limousine Liberal Democrats, Blacks are an "Issue" to deal with, to barter for, they, through their arrogance, believe blacks are less than second class citizens and a problem that only a social "Keep em' down" program can fix, General Powell stands as what true Race relationship is about, equals, Blacks as proud members of every facet of America's Society, Professionals, White collar, Leaders, but, as it should be, valued members of this great American society.

The Republicans are dealing with their fellow Americans who happen to be black,as such, Democrats see them all as an "Issue", not even people, give em' something, and it is always meant to subjugate them, keep em in check, If I were black, I would be outraged at Racist Gore and the Democratic Parties portrayal of Blacks in America. Here we are in the New millinium, and according to Democrats, blacks are all waiting for their hand-outs, with no dignity, no self respect, a whole race condemned by Democrats, and according to Liberal Democrats no ability what so ever to get anything on their own, they have to wait for Big Massa. Democrats to dole them out what they feel they need, Democrats have returned social slavery for Blacks far worst than Slavery it self in a lot of respects.

In separate letters, an angry J.C. Watts accused Gore campaign chief Donna Brazile of "racist remarks," while Powell, the ex-Joint Chiefs of Staff boss who was wooed by the GOP in 1996 as a potential presidential candidate, saidhe was "disappointed and offended.

Gasoline comments

Diddo's from Antioch, CA which is about 75 miles south of downtown Rio Linda. I heard a couple of items released by the government today, one being that they admitted that the additive MTBE is causing too many problems and it will be elimated, the other was a report from USGS that MTBE is showing up in too many wells for drinking water. I am wondering if we are getting set up for a new gas tax, a clean up tax to fix the problems that MTBE is causing. I listen to your show on KNBR and I also listen to a news station, KCBS.

The very same day there was a government offical saying that taking out MTBE and replacing it with ethanol will cost more money and that the consumer can expect to pay higher gas prices. The very same day they had someone from private industry saying that using ethanol will save consumers 5 or 6 cents a gallon and that companies are eager to ship ethanol to Caifornia. It makes you wonder, even the most educated chemist in Rio Linda would realize that ethanol being made from corn would have to cost less that a chemical that is labled MTBE which is a short term for a much longer name.

I have also noticed that Ford is selling the Ranger pickup to use the E85 fuel which is 85% ethanol, why isn't that being pursured more? It seems that using a fuel like that would greatly help our own farmers and leave us out of being so dependent on foreign oil. Steve Blankenship

What it takes to be a good Democrat.

Virtually anyone can be a Democrat. Simply quit thinking and vote that way. But if you want to be a GOOD Democrat, there are some prerequisites you must have first. Compare the list below and see how you rate.

You have to believe the AIDS virus is spread by lack of federal funding.
You have to believe that the teacher who can't teach 4th graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans, are more of a threat than U.S. nuclear weapons technology in the hands of the Chinese communists.
You have to believe there was no art before Federal funding.
You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical, documented changes in the earth's climate, and more affected by Yuppies
driving S.U.V.'s.
You have to believe that gender roles are artificial and being homosexual is natural.
You have to be against capital punishment but support abortion on demand
You have to believe businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity.
You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but loony activists from Seattle do.
You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.
You have to believe that military, not corrupt politicians, start wars.
You have to believe the NRA is bad, because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while the ALCU is good, because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.
You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.
You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Stienmen are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, General Robert E. Lee or Thomas Edison.
You have to believe that standardized test are racist, but racial quota and set-asides are not.
You have to believe Hillary Clinton is a real lady.
You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried, is because the right people haven't been in charge.
You have to believe Republicans telling the truth belong in jail, but a liar and sex offender belongs in the White House.
You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag, transvestites and bestiality should be constitutionally protected and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.
You have to believe that illegal Democratic party funding by the Chinese is somehow in the best interest of the United States.

This weekend while ordering fast food I saw a man with a boy scout shirt with his 2 teenage boys who were scouts. I asked if he heard about the boos the invited eagle scout color guard were given at the Democratic National Convention. He didn't know about it. I reminded him of the media coverage given to the gay speaker at the Republican convention.

For several days during and after the RNC the evening news would show over and over the Texas delegates in silent protest with heads bowed in prayer during his speech. Imagine how much more the media pot would have been stirred if that speaker would have been booed instead of prayed for. Isn't it funny how everyone knows about the respectful silent protest during the RNC of a gay man who was vocal and how almost nobody knows about the rude vocal protest during the DNC of the boy scouts who were silent?.

What a shameful and cowardly thing for adults who have the important responsibility of choosing the next president to humiliate their invited teenage guests who were doing nothing more than holding the American flag. Why didn't anyone at the convention have the guts to make any public apologies to these young men who represent the hope and future of our country. The words tolerence and diversity sound nice but are turing out to be just dillusionary political weapons.

I wish that someone could explain to me why I am spending over 40% of my income in taxes and according to Mr. Gore I don't deserve a tax cut. Well he certainly did not feel that way about the Hollywood elite. He and Clinton added a write off to the itemized deductions his elite friends in Hollywood could make on their taxes. Excuse me, but who is pandering to the rich and powerful---and believe me they are powerful. You see it in the television shows---West Wing--a liberal Democrat President---the latest movies have all republicans portrayed as right wing wackos. Give us a break. The Democrats paid Hollywood back by allowing them to write off expensive wardrobes, cosmetics etc. Since the rest of us women require the same cosmetics, etc, why can we not write them off----I'll tell you---It's so the democrats can buy more votes with their give aways so they can stay in power.

Pay attention---we can not afford to have another 8 years of elitism in the White House, nor do we want to make the Motel sign permenent over the Lincoln bedroom.

I am compelled to express to someone my outrage over the corruption of the left-wing liberals. They cannot abide virtue, integrity, or virtue. For them, enemy No. 1 is authentic morality. Consider John Ashcroft. Ted Kennedy, Diane Feinstein, et al. would have embraced his nomination if Ashcroft had been: the owner of abortion clinics and gay bars; and a practitioner of bestiality (it's only sex and that's just private).

Consider the case of Bill and Monica versus the Clarance Thomas - Anita Hill scam. Bill obtained sexual favors from a very young White House aide. Was that tantamount to sexual harassment? No, it was only sex. But Anita - a far more mature woman, at least in terms of age, and lawyer - she was a victim. Why was that not "only sex!"

Consider the case of Linda Chavez. Here is a woman Mother Teresa would have found to be a soul-mate. Folks like Ted and Diane believe in "the government" and only the government helping people in need. They would not lift a finger, let alone consider dirtying one, to help any person in need. Compassion means to them: talk, talk, and more talk while they steal as much money from the taxpayer as possible to add to their power. Unlike Clinton, Linda Chavez admitted that she made a mistake when she did not disclose the fact that she had assisted an illegal alien. She did not dodge, did not say "it depends on what disclosure means " - she bellied up to the bar and took the consequences. Linda Chavez not compassionate - not according to the lefties. No, she is not compassionate. She is a titan of true charity, mercy, and character in an era of moral pygmies.

Those amoral and spiritually corrupt leftists cannot abide the presence of goodness, virtue, and sanctity in the case of some rare political persons. They have to destroy it and convince others that they are doing the good and noble thing in the process. That is the ultimate moral perversion.

What is so tragic is, that so many Americans swallow Clinton's, Ted's, Diane's, Hillary's, and Jesse Jackson's "cock and bull" stories(if you will pardon the pun) and hypocrisy. They are taken in by what could be likened to a whited sepulcher. How can so many persons be so long taken in by these moral cesspools? Why are so many good Americans silent, docile, and acquiescent in the face of all this? I think that President George W. Bush may be our last chance. If we don't change course during the next four years, and if he is defeated in 2004, we may be out of time. It happened to Rome. We are not immune from decline and fall.

Thanks, Rush, for your time and for doing what you can to help turn the tide. God bless you and God bless America.

2002 - 2003

After being in the Senate for 50 years. The Democratic senate leaders NOW CLAIM EVERYTHING IS WRONG. Up to the last election, the country had a surplus of money because everything was taken care of and functioning perfectly. Now everything is broken so it needs money to fix it. Health, tourism, police, FBI, CIA, border guards, postal service, firemen, policemen, airports, immunization funds, water supplies, energy, heat, gasoline and on in on. All need fixing.

Who is responsible for this mess? Surely not the senators and congressmen who hooted and celebrated the phony surplus of funds. Is it the president's fault for giving the surplus back to those who over paid the taxes? Is it the airport screeners fault?

Now this same Senate and congress want to raid the social security funds and throw money around to cover up the fact IT failed to protect the American people resulted it the deaths of thousands of innocent people.

Democratic Hypocrisy

I had to leave the room after watching 5 minutes of C-SPAN's coverage of the debate on whether or not we should or should not be allowed to burn the flag. All of these flag burners and crappers are trying to convince themselves that this is actually a debate over our freedoms......or, are they trying to convince the rest of us?

The question one must ask one's self is, "Why is it that the same people that fight for the right to burn the flag are the same people that are protesting in order to have our right to bear arms taken away?" The same people that are all but killing themselves to protect animal rights are the same people that think it is perfectly ok for a woman to kill an unborn child if she feels like it.

These people are playing a pivotal role in our society, and they should be made to be an example for all young people, learning about the various political views in this country. The example, for our young people, should show how these people care nothing for their country, or for their rights. Everything these people try to do is just another attempt to take what is good and pure out of the minds of our impressionable youth.

That is the only reason why homosexuals want to have a role in the Boy Scouts. I use this as an example because the Boy Scouts, believe it or not, still include God as an integral part of what they stand for. If the homosexuals could take God out of that, boy wouldn't that make them happy!

Anyway, my point is that these people don't fight for freedom. They fight to have the legal ability to upset others who believe in what is good and pure. They only want to upset those of us that look at the flag as a magnificent symbol of all that this great country stands for. Their goal is only to incite anger and aggression to try to persuade people into believing that conservatives are the ones who are not right in the mind. If they could become successful at that, then maybe they could create doubt throughout this country that God even exists. Stop the pot-smoking flag crappers now!!

I say to anyone offended by this letter: "I know your agenda, and there are millions just like me. The majority of these others have never voted.... but they will. You will not take God out of the picture just so you can turn our youth into freaks like you!!!"

Modified Liberal Test

You might be a liberal if...

You want to ban cigarettes and legalize marijuana and cocaine.

You want the government to regulate any activity that you don't engage in, with gun-control, high taxes, and massive bureaucracy.

You believe that pornography is a Constitutional right, but that religion and gun ownership are not.

You call for youth to "challenge authority" but whine when they challenge YOU.

You urge women to divorce their "male tyrants" and to have children out of wedlock, while clamoring for government programs to help with the poverty and abuse that results.

You vigorously condemn movies or book with racist or homophobic theme as "hate speech", but claim that the most blood-drenched movie or videogame is completely harmless.

You believe that the best way to improve schools is to replace Bibles with condoms, and "Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic" with course that build "self-esteem".

You do everything for the benefit of "The Children" - including aborting them.

You call for "choice" on abortion, but deny the child's "choice" to live, deny the parent's right to chose their child's school, deny the choice of how to defend their family, deny the choice of whether to speak of their religious beliefs at work.

You are anti-gun, anti-self defense for private citizens, but arm your police with assault weapons and encourage police SWAT teams to use Gestapo-like tactics.

You believe that decadent Western lifestyles are destroying the earth by causing global warming, while you drive a SUV, live in a new house, and watch surround-sound stereo TV.

You call for tolerance of different races and cultures, but you are absolutely intolerant of anyone who disagrees with you.

You call for diversity of color, but not for diversity of ideas.

You constantly comment on conservative's hypocrisy, while ignoring your own.

You are filled with such self-loathing, that you secretly relish the idea of the extinction of the human race.

Unions In The Federal Government - Waste taxpayer dollars & Influence the stalling of the Homeland Security Bill - Through the Democratic Party - to the detriment of our Security.

I retired last spring after providing 30+ years of service to my fellow veterans as an employee of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). I worked many hours extra over the years without additional pay nor "comp time" off to ensure the veterans were served and the American taxpayer received their money's worth. I spoke against waste and inefficiency whenever I could.

While I understand there is a need for a limited role for employeeunions in the Federal government and in the VA, I have been taken back by recent actions by the acting senior VA health care manager for Kansas, Missouri and Southern Illinois. I had thought when the Clinton/Gore administration left that the pampering to the Federal employee unions in the VA would cease.

Last spring the senior health care official (who was is a Republican) for the VA in Kansas, Missouri and Southern Illinois was unjustly relieved of her position in part because the employee unions complained that she would not include them in the decisions on how the taxpayer money was spent. They objected to her efficiencies in operations and that she cut back administrative overhead. She would not pamper to the unions during the Clinton years and then became less interested in their "noise" when the unions complained after President Bush was elected.

After that official was relieved, the VA sent an individual (a male RN) from Southern California to run the health care operations in Kansas, Missouri and Southern Illinois. He immediately started giving the Federal employee unions what they wanted and consistantly over-ruled local Medical Center Directors when the unions complained directly to him. These are the same unions that have fought President Bush's Homeland Security proposal because they do not want any managers being able to cut out the deadwood or under performers. While the Secretary of the VA, Anthony Princippi, is an honorable man who speaks of conservative values he may need to send a message to the career leaders of the VA that the unions are no longer to be pampered nor do should they have a direct vote on how resources are spent. It has always been good management to gather, whenever possible, input from rank and file before decisions are made. Giving these unions a chance to give input is fine but now they have an actual vote on how the resources are spent and use it to block efficiencies that might cut unnecessary jobs.

The unions exist in part to try and protect jobs (whether they are needed or not), they do not exist to promote efficiency nor is their primary purpose in the VA to promote better service to the veterans who have honorably served this great country. I suggest you obtain the information that is being compiled by the U.S. office of Personnel Management (OPM) on how much "official time" is now granted by Federal agencies for union officers to perform union duties while collecting a salary check paid by the American taxpayer. It is one of the biggest waste of tax dollars I ever saw while I was still employed.

The BIG lie...

This week's "Braying Jackass" award: "...[Republicans] have the most wrong-headed economic policies that we've seen since Herbert Hoover and we're beginning to pay a price as a nation for these policies." --Sen. Ms. Hillary Rodham-Clinton-Rodham

This week's "Alpha Jackass" award: "And now they want to give another tax cut. It doesn't make sense. We shouldn't do it now. It's against arithmetic." --B.J. Clinton

On the Left...

If there is a universal truth when it comes to Leftist Démocrates, it is that they are, universally, hypocrites. Currently, they are simultaneously condemning Sen. Rick Santorum as an "intolerant bigot" for disagreeing with their homosexual agenda, while demanding "tolerance" for their anti-war agenda.

To wit, consider this rant from Sen. Ms. Hillary Rodham-Clinton-Rodham: "Republicans, you see...act as though they have a monopoly on the right to have answers. And that they have a monopoly on the exercise of power. So in their world, debate is not one of their higher values, because it exposes the weakness of their answers and it threatens the strength of their authority."

If you have heard any of Ms. Rodham-Clinton-Rodham's "debate" about Mr. Santorum's comments, you know why her assertions are laughably hypocritical. Of course, when she says debate, she means "the politics of personal destruction."

From the "Non Compos Mentis" Files: "I would point out that we have virtually abandoned the war on terrorism; that we have withdrawn military and intelligence capabilities from Afghanistan and, because of that, al-Qa'ida has been able to regroup. ...I don't think that's a very impressive national-security record." --Florida Sen. Bob Graham, now a Démocrate presidential candidate, on ABC's "This Week." What planet is this guy on?
