Tom Daschle - RushOnline.com

Why are the democrats worried about the Civil Rights of the terrorists? Do our enemies deserve more rights than our citizens? Than our military?

* * *

On the radio show, I only heard her say that Senator Daschle should be an embarrassment to the state of South Dakota....where is the uprising?

FYI, I AM from South Dakota and I AM embarrassed by our "great" Senator, as I've told him in the past. While he maintains that he's "from" South Dakota, he really is from Washington, D.C. and has adapted very well to the partisanship of that area. It is so evident that he PROMOTES partisanship. He's like a sneaky snake in the grass....tells his constituents one thing, then turns around and does whatever he can to remain "popular" in his own party. As for an uprising, believe me when I say there will be one when his terms nears expiration. In the meantime, we can only write him, email him, and tell him he remains an embarrassment to our great state. There is nothing else to be done at this point, but bow our heads in shame when the media spotlights him. As I told a friend shortly after September 11th, just watch him - he claims total support of President Bush now, but it won't last long - AND he will be the leader of the newest partisan stance.. I believe I was right in my prediction. His fangs are beginning to show again! Yes, a Real embarrassment!!

It struck me as hard as a heart attack when I heard Tom Daschel babble about why the Senate is at an impass regarding the economic stimulus package. Liberals only care about the " three P's " namely, "party, power and patriotism". Unfortunately, the priorities of the Democratic Party are precisely in that order. And ,yes, I question the value or interpretation of liberal patriotism. I truly believe that the country could collapse to it's knees as long as a Republican president is in power and the liberals would be overjoyed. This is a horrible thought, but I believe it to be true. Sorry for sounding off but I get these urges once a year or so.

TOM DASCHLE IS JUST CONTINUING TO SHOOT HIMSELF IN THE FOOT WITH HIS LAME REMARKS AGAINST A POPULAR PRESIDENT LIKE BUSH. HE NEEDS TO JUST ZIP UP HIS MOUTH PERIOD.

* * *

It's time to do a Facts-Not-Feelings comparison of Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle and President George W. Bush on the economy. Now, I want to set this up in a way nobody else in the media has dared to, with one of our famous A-B, side-by-side comparisons of the educational and historical backgrounds of these two men. When you look at it this way, the differences are striking.

This is especially going to shock many of you moderates and liberals out there who are of the opinion that Bush is an empty suit and an empty head. It's hard for anyone to admit they're wrong, so when you hear me say this in the audio provided below from Monday's show, you'll hear me trying to teach, not rub your face in this. These are facts, and you liberals don't want to just base your policy on emotions as you so often have, do you?

This idea grows from a basic EIB Maxim, namely that some clown gets elected to office and suddenly he's an expert on everything. Well, what about the economy? Dub has a Harvard MBA and private sector experience up the wazoo. What does Daschle have? He has a political science degree and a life where he never worked for anything but the government. Look at these points:

Bush: Bachelor of History from Yale.
Daschle: Bachelor of Political Science from South Dakota State U.

Bush: a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Harvard
Daschle: no post-graduate degree in economics or anything else

Bush: 11 years as an owner and an employee in private business
Daschle: no private-sector experience. Never owned, never started, a business

Bush: 5 years as partner in revitalizing MLB franchise, the Texas Rangers.
Daschle: 5 years on the public payroll as an aide to an ultra-liberal senator.

Bush: Six years as chief executive of the 2nd-largest state of 28 million people
Daschle: Fifteen years, one of three statewide representatives of the 46th-largest state of 696,004 people

Bush: Texas is the size of 36 New Jerseys and has a 1,254-mile international trade border.
Daschle: South Dakota is the size of ten New Jerseys and has no international trade border.

Bush: the gross state product of Texas ranks third of the 50 states.
Daschle: the gross state product of South Dakota ranks 47th of the 50 states.

Bush: In 2000, citizens of Texas earned $1,729 more per capita than those in South Dakota and had $1,061 more in disposable income.
Daschle: In 2000, SD ranked ten states behind Texas in per capita income.*

Bush: Texans earned third place in total personal income for the year 2000.
Daschle: South Dakota earned 47th place in TPI for the year 2000.*

Bush: In 1999, a Site Selection's corporate survey ranked Texas' business climate #1 of all states.
Daschle: In 1999, it ranked South Dakota's business climate #22 of all states.

Now, these are all on a totally serious vein, as proposed by Dean here at RushLimbaugh.com, but let's look at the personal too.

Bush: stands six feet tall.
Daschle: Five foot six inches- in heels.

Bush: Big feet, big hands.
Daschle: Small feet, small hands. (You do the math.)

Bush: 32 teeth.
Daschle: Four rows of 40-teeth each, like a shark.

Daschle: Banned from Victoria's Secret.
Bush: Not.

I wanted to throw that one in, and have fun with their heads out there. But these are amazing facts, are they not? You never, ever hear a word about President Bush having a Harvard MBA, do you? You never hear about him having a degree in history from Yale. It's taken as conventional wisdom that Mr. Bush is a boob, a frat boy, and he just slid through life on his name. It's not true, folks. Bush has experience on the economy - both in the classroom and in the real world - while all Daschle has ever studied and done involves winning elections in a small, relatively business-unfriendly state.

Who can we trust to know how nations revive economies and recessions and create jobs? The answer is crystal clear.

How can Senator Daschle blame the White House for not taking action about supposedly knowing about attacks on the US.... After all Wasn't the Clinton Administration (the so called White House staff) when the attackers were training here in the US.... therefore aren't the Democrats ultimately the ones responsible for properly preparing them for this.

The end result is I guess I could have won the Super Bowl Pool tooooo knowing what I know now....Oh by the way ask Senator Daschel how he fared on the Super Bowl Pool???

Tell him to get out of Maine tooo he was here today trying to play on the elderly with sky rocketing Prescription drug cost and how his support for a candidate for US Senate race..what a joke...

Good day

I cant believe that there are no democrats standing up and speaking out about the lies and schemes that Tom Daschle is trying to convince the public are truths. His lies about Sept. 11 must be upsetting the wives, mothers and children more than the acts themselves. Why doesn't his party tell him that it is an act of treason to say these lies and cause the country to split further apart ? We are at war--we must stand together if we are to squash the plots that those evil ones are thinking up to kill all Americans. God help us.

I heard on television yesterday Dashle complained that U.S. citizens were unfairly prejudiced in favor of president Bush. I think his statement should be analyzed. His saying this as a complaint means he thinks the citizens shouldn't have the right to determine their own opinions, as the opinions will be politically incorrect. Politically incorrect has nothing to do with it, the peoples opinion is simply not what is advantageous to Dashle and as a result he is being disrespectfull enough as to attack as invalid their willingness to believe in and follow Buch. Dashle's job as an elected representative is to represent the will of his constituency, represent their will, not his.

ANWR

Senator Daschle's statement of the Democratic party's position on ANWR is just further testimony that the "environmentalists" have the entire party in a political "full-nelson". It is unconscionable to be adamantly opposed to the concept of exploring for oil on 2,000 acres of a total 20 million acres especially when the current situation in the Middle-East will probably get much worse before it gets better. I remember the oil embargo of the '70's and I prefer not to see the rerun.

I find it odd that in a society that surveys literally everything, not one survey has been conducted that attempts to capture the opinions of the American people on this issue. It would be interesting to see if we are ideologically polarized on the issue like most issues or if in fact we are capable of making the tough decision by choosing energy over Caribou.

Dear Mr. "Hard-of-Thinking" Daschel:

I usually don't have much to say politically, using my vote to voice my opinion. However, after the 9th Circuit Court's ruling regarding the Pledge, I have just had enough! You and your ilk remind me of a person who has urinated on himself and then blames the everyone else for his intolerable smell! Get-a-clue! If you, or anyone you know, doesn't like the Pledge, the Flag, or The Constitution of the United States of America, which, by the way has kept your silly Democratic Arse in gravy for too many years; and for which, many members of my family have given their lives to defend since 1776, too bad! You, Mr. Daschel, and the Demo-rats have made a mockery of the judicial system of this country. I suggest you get a job and stop living off the ignorance of your constituents.

Sincerely,
C.

Another dumb Dashole quote desined to capture the attention of the like-minded idiots in the media.

Today Daschole calls the Pres. a "dictator" because he exercised his right to fire someone in the gov. I think since obviously Daschel needs a lesson in what Dictatorship really is we ought to arrange for a trip for him to Baghdad.

Have you considered the possibility that Tom Dashle and other esteemed "statesmen" who attack our president while on Iraqi soil are the best assets the Republican Party have? Sen. Daschle can't turn around without "steppin' in somethin'," and I'm for letting him keep it up! I spent eight long years looking down at the very mention of our president; now I hold my head high at the very mention of George "Dubya." So, let 'em keep showing their stupidity!

Dittos, Tom

Tom puff-daddy Daschle

I am so glad that Mr.. Tommy-D is consistently saying that he and his posse wants to wait until after the elections to go back to congress to vote on the resolution to go into Iraq and start to clean up the garbage. To me that just means that he is getting tired of being a politician and wants to be slain by his constituents so that not only will he no longer be a senator, he will never even see the inside of the White House as the president of the United States. He is doing so much damage to himself and his neo-socialist party, that all we republicans have to do is sit back and watch the total destruction unfold before us.

Word of caution to Tommy-D; if you keep up your gabage infuriating your own people, you won't even be able to get a job as a MacDonald' s employee.(scrubbing toilets)

From Sen. Daschle's latest comments it seems like he is trying to dissuade the American Peoples Resolves to Bring These Vermin to Ground. Instead of standing behind the efforts and supporting the Country.

SEN. TOM DASCHLE'S remarks came as intelligence analysts concluded that a new audiotape almost certainly contained bin Laden's voice and is proof that he is alive."We can't find bin Laden, we haven't made real progress" in finding key elements of al-Quid," the South Dakotan said. "They continue to be as great a threat today as they were one and a half years ago. So by what measure can we claim to be successful so far?"

Daschle likened bin Laden to the Washington-area sniper, who unleashed a wave of terror around the nation's capital. "Osama Bin Laden is the sniper," he said. "He is terrorizing this country as the sniper terrorized Washington."

Well Sen. Daschle ... if the SOB was terrorizing your House and Family what would you do? Say "Well, there is nothing I can do to Stop you?"

Or would you pick up a gun and shoot the SOB then call the cops? Since you'd told the Police that they were ineffectual so cease trying to locate and stop them. Either get in the same boat with the rest of the Country or GET THE HELLOUT ... but stop trying to bore holes in it to sink to what are nothing more than Thugs - Thieves - Rapist and Criminals disguising themselves as a so Called Military Group. They are Religious Fanatics Senator ... FACE REALITY..

Your words and actions are beginning to closely parallel those of Benedict Arnold in defense of the British .... SURE YOU WANT TO WALK THAT PATH SENATOR ??????

Sir John

I read Patty from Rapid City's remarks on Daschel and had to Reread them again...Just to make sure it was not something I had written! They have been my thoughts EXACTLY! Every time I listen to our local radio station, KNWC, and hear about remarks or decisions that Daschel has made, I am so embarrassed. I am from South Dakota too and wonder what others must think of South Dakotans if that is who Daschel is supposed to be representing!! I am sad to say that he does NOT represent the "down home, family oriented ethics and morals" of South Dakota.......... Frankly I don't know WHO he stands for. But I must say, thanks to Daschel and other politicians like him, I made a point of voting this last election!

Revelations of Tom Daschle -

I'm afraid that Tommy dearest has me figured out. Why just the other day as I was teeing off, I caught myself threatening my most liberal golf ball [the one that always goes left] with certain destruction if it didn't lean to the right as I preferred. Since I was listening to your program on the way to the golf course, I contend that it was your devilish hypnotic ramblings that made me do it.

Then again it could have been that McDonalds burger I ate. Don't you fall for that self important moron's tripe. Unlike the sheep that would follow him over a cliff, I for one was born with a brain.

Rush is right, long live the dittos!!

* * *

Tom Daschle has it all wrong. The reason conservative talk radio ratings are very high is because a broad spectrum of Americans do not listen to liberal talk shows or look at liberal TV to be insulted by the drivel coming from the Bash America crowd...Comoro, Donahue, Rather, Colas and their ilk. I am a sixty eight year black conservative Republican; how's that for anoxymoron!!?

Keep Up The Good Work !!! I voted for BUSH 41 & 43. I live in a Democratic Stronghold

Thanks Tom

Rush should be thanking Tom Daschle for being the incredible weenie that he is! By opening his mouth, he publicly confirmed everything that Rush has said about him, AND he gave Rush some GREAT publicity! You should make a bumper sticker that has a pic of Rush saying "THANKS, TOM"- who just boosted his career as a radio talk show personality and more people will probably start listening to Rush because of Daschle, which proves that he REALLY IS A MORON! If he were smart, he would have kept his mouth shut, but he had to open it, and attack Rush. Weenie is the only word to describe Tom Daschle appropriately.

Sen. Tom Dashle has been quoted/ paraphrased as stating "I've attended many White House Secret briefings on Iraq and not one of them has demonstrated a cause for concern about weapons of mass destruction." I heard this on the news in the past one week and you should have access to recalling the precise message delivered. Not being a Trent Lott fan, I don't believe he should have been penalized for his perceived racial remarks, whereas Dashle has not even been covert in his statement. Secret briefings are not for summary to the public nor the world much less a statement that undercuts the president during difficult international tensions. This behavior is unworthy of a Senator and I'm hoping you can put verbal pressure on him and party by focusing attention on his performance.
Sincerely,

Edward / CAPT. USNR Flight Surgeon

Tom Daschel

Let me lead off by saying that I am not only conservative in nature, but also an avid, anti-liberal. In fact, I think Hillary is a strong candidate for anti-Christ status. However, it occurs to me that in one area, our liberal and unpredictable friend, Tom Daschle hasdistinguished himself in a manner actually befitting a person of his elected status. Since 9-11, there have been countless opportunities for liberals to capitalize on the the president's positions regarding our national security. Tom Daschle, to his credit, has literally sacrificed his career in favor of doing the right and honorable thing by backing the president on so many of these issues.

He could very well have secured his place in the liberal hall-of-fame (shame) by either directly or seriptisiously opposing the president on so many issues. I, for one, will tip my hat to him for at least recognizing that we were attacked and that God saw fit to empower a conservative to the presidency of our great nation. Let us not forget the image of Ms. Clinton giving half-hearted applause during the president's speach after the attack on our nation. She is the pinacle of liberalism and socialism. Tom Daschle could be as well, but instead, he lost his position as senate majority leader because he choose the high road. Let us give credit when credit is due.

I will preface this by saying I am neither "right wing " or not "mainstream. I am simply fed up with the whining rhetoric.

I heard the Senator's comments this morning regarding his belief that it is indeed the UN, not the goverenment he was elected to serve, that should make the final decision on American foreign and defense policy.

I'm sure the farmers in Eastern S.D. and the ranchers in western S.D. surely agree-even rejoice-that their elected Senator feels it is imperative that d elegations from Angola, China, France and elsewhere, decide if the security of the US is at risk. Having already gotten a vote from the Congress the goo d Senator is employed in, and NOT having forgotten the tragic events of 9/11 ( which it seems is easily forgettable by those oppossed to America standing up for its own security), I find it curious that the good Senator is so wil ling to abdicate his responsibility and duty to an international body .

Likewise, I recall the good Senator's blustery "patriotic" speech of some ti me back and have to wonder if somehow he has massaged whatever his true beli efs are based upon polls or speeches from Hollywood(which I believe is locat ed in his home state near Wall???).

The defense of this nation is this Senate's responsibility-not the preserve of a delegation from Gabon, Germany and Quatar. When American politicians co me to the realization that having intestinal fortitude to defend their elect orate is more important than getting a 2 point improvement in the weekly Tim e poll, then we will once again take control of defending our cities and chi ldren. Until then , more of the moral bankruptcy that the minority(and I do not mean just Democrats) hurl for headlines will only further cloud the true responsibility of the Senate.

I seem to recall the good Senator fully behind Kosovo and niether the French or the UN sanctioned that event-and assuredly, the Bosnians were a real thr eat to Yankton, weren't they??

It is American to have discussion and differing views, but in the end the de fense of that freedom can not be won the easiest way imaginable or in the pr ess. The defense of freedom is part of Daschle's job and as much as he whine s about it, it just shows his true colors, sadly so. If this is the leadersh ip of this party, I find it difficult to imagine Americans will soon rally t o more backbone-less leadership and poll watching.

Do your job Daschle-for your SD consituents and the rest of America and stop kidding yourself that you are serving some grand and important voice of the "alternative".
A Keeney, not from SD

Miguel Estrada, Nominee to the US Court of Appeals

Today I caught a statement on television by Dashcle (forum unknown) that he had come to the conclusio n that Estrada has extreme right wing views on several important issues. &nb sp;If Dashcle can say that the democrats need more disclosure from Estrada before they can determine his qualifications, how can he say that Estrada is an extremist? Someone should call Dashcle on this obvious inconsistency and ask him to define the "several issues" and to give factual support for his conclusions.

I want to comment on the War. Any doubts I had (which were few) were totally and forever erased by the mural on the wall of the hospital in Iraq depicting the twin towers and a plane crashing into it. We got their message. Our return response is unquestionable and justified.

Secondly, to Mr. Daschle and other Party Politicians I pose the following questions...Where in the pledge of allegiance or constitution does it say Democrat or Republican? How can "for the people, of the people and by the people" be misconstrued as Party Politics? How can what is good for this wonderful country of ours and our benevolent (and just) people be a choice of Democrat or Republican?

Our soldiers are Heroes! And they deserve total respect and support. Maybe Tom "Dixie Chick" Daschle needs to get back in touch with reality and the wonderful State of South Dakota that DO NOT support his opinion.

It is obvious that he is still a little upset that he lost his power position and is simply biting back. Maybe he needs a bigger play pen with all the other whimpering and back biting protesters. I can assure you that his attitude of "I'll take my toys and go home" will be reflected in the next election. S.D. will bring him home with a resounding defeat and he can go live with George McGovern. That is another subject we will cover later.
