Since Hillary Rodham's anointment as co-president,
Americans have been treated to some of the silliest, most sanctimonious,
arrogant, condescending morality lessons to come out of the Oval
Office and the Washington press corps in a long time. With her
halo aglow, she has fearlessly castigated the pharmaceuticals
industry and excoriated the medical profession.
She is convinced that she alone can save America from two of
its most vexing problems (both of which are highly exaggerated
and distorted): the health-care "crisis" and the country's
spiritual malaise. Hillary groupies in the media are exhibiting
their sophistry and embarrassing ignorance when they praise her
'politics of meaning' as if it is some profound revelation.
Thumb through the pages of Plato, Aristotle, Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau,
Montesquieu, Marx, Bacon, Adam Smith; you name it. You'll see
that all of them defend their particular political and/or economic
systems foremost on moral grounds. To pretend that what Hillary
is saying is something new is an insult. Liberals can get away
with treating us as ignorant fools only if we let them.
Key quote, "By publicly parading her liberalism and her
plans to foist it on the rest of us, she has become a feminist
icon."
