According to the liberals, achievement must be
vilified and the rich must be punished. They seem to be uncomfortable
about the philosophical underpinnings of capitalism, rugged individualism,
and competition. Making a profit isn't unfair and excessive.
Liberals don't believe that market forces, unfettered by government,
can possibly effectuate an equitable allocation of resources.
According to them, competition and the profit motive are evils
to be condemned.
Liberals don't understand the principals of wealth creation:
that our economy is not a zero-sum game; that one person's achievement
is not necessarily the other person's loss.
Someday Liberals may realize that burdensome taxes
have a deterrent effect on the production of income and wealth
and jobs.
Bill Clinton and Lenin may be the best practitioners of class
warfare.
